Reflexology for Fertility

Reflexology for Fertility

You carry so much love in your heart. Give some to yourself.”

As a woman ages, her chance of natural pregnancy drops from around 25% at age 25 to less than 5% at age 40. Trying to become pregnant can be an overwhelming and stressful experience. You might be tracking your cycle to the minute, eating everything nutritious and adapting your lifestyle to make sure it’s a very fertile-friendly one; but still, there’s no sign of you becoming pregnant. Although it might seem like you’ve tried everything to boost your fertility, have you ever thought about reflexology? Stress can have a negative effect on the ability to conceive, and reflexology is known to be both soothing and relaxing. It also works by improving the natural healing abilities of the body, encouraging all of the body systems to function efficiently and help with removing toxins from the body.

When To Come In For Reflexology to Boost your Fertility?

There can be many reasons that you may getting pregnant, but often women find themselves in the frustrating situation of not being given any specific cause for their conception issues, despite the various medical tests and assessment they have undergone. Understandably this can cause great stress and a Catch-22 situation: a pregnancy won’t occur until you relax, which is nearly impossible because you’re worried you can’t get pregnant. Worry and anxiety over not being able to have children can create the very physical conditions that prevent conception.

How Can Reflexology Help?

Reflexology may enhance fertility by improving blood circulation throughout the body, and encouraging the elimination of toxins. By massaging different points on the feet (such as the ovary reflex and fallopian tube reflex), therapists claim that they can unblock energy pathways in the body, helping to regain the body’s natural balance and heal itself. Ultimately this can have a positive effect on balancing hormone levels and regulating menstrual cycles. It’s widely recognised too that reflexology is an excellent aid to relaxation, which, of course, alleviates stress and tension so that the body is in the best possible condition for conception to occur.

Total Relaxation

Reflexology is usually relaxing and calming. Research shows that it may lower your blood pressure and heart rate, relieve tiredness and help you to sleep better. There is also evidence that reflexology can have a positive effect on your quality of life and reduce stress and anxiety. This could be helpful when you’re trying to get pregnant, as stress and anxiety may make it harder to conceive. Women usually have several reflexology sessions over a number of weeks. The aim is not only to help you relax and reduce stress, but also to regulate your periods and ovulation.

Boosting Fertility

Specific pregnancy reflexology techniques, which appear to have some very positive outcomes, and which may help women ovulate and regain periods, and assist them to manage Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, endometriosis, fibroids and early menopause. Many women who have undergone these techniques go on to achieve a viable pregnancy, she says. A treatment where the main objective is to conceive may focus on balancing all bodily systems, while also paying particular attention to a number of associated reflexes, such as that of the pituitary gland, which regulates hormones associated with reproduction. Along with this, the ovary, uterus and fallopian tube reflexes will require additional focus. There may be some focus on correlating areas of the spine reflex, too, as it’s thought that compression to the spinal nerve route can affect the functioning of an organ, gland or part of the body. Our Therapy Process

Your first step is to call us to schedule your initial appointment.

The practitioner will conduct a brief health history, checking in case reflexology may not be the best choice of therapy for you. The practitioner will explain how reflexology works and what to expect in the session. The reflexologist also informs you that reflexology does not treat specific illnesses and is not a substitute for medical treatment. You may be asked to sign a consent form.

Regardless of your health condition I will focus on the entire pattern of the reflexology therapy, starting at the toes and working down the foot. A complete reflexology therapy session uses many different techniques and includes all of the points on both feet. If there is a medical reason not to work with your feet, the Hand reflexology is as helpful as the Feet one.
